The Specac Selector™ is a flexible Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (DRIFTS) Accessory for analysis of powdered and solid samples. The Specac Selector™ uses an optimized off axis optics configuration which collects the diffusely reflected components, while minimizing the specular component. Samples can be analyzed as is, with a slight amount of grinding or by grinding and mixing with potassium bromide (KBr). A wide variety of samples can be analyzed non-destructively.
DRIFTS Environmental Chamber
This accessory allows for the study of diffusely reflecting solid samples in a controlled atmosphere ranging from ambient temperature to 800 °C, and vacuum (10-3 Torr) to 500 psi pressure.
Diffuse or total reflectance capabilities
Minimal alignment
Easy sample handling
Macro, micro and tilted cups
Diabrase synthetic diamond abrasive pads
Sampling expandability via Environmental Chamber
Features of the Environmental Chamber
Programmable controlled temperatures to 800 ºC
Operates from vacuum (10-3 Torr) to high pressure (500 psi)
Provides controlled atmosphere (gas inlet and outlet)
Extensive safety features
