The Micro Compression Cell is designed for FTIR transmission and infrared microscopy applications involving soft solid or semi-liquid samples. It enables compression and flattening of the sample between two infrared transparent windows to optimize signal acquisition across a 7.0 mm clear aperture.
The device features a unique front cap mechanism that compresses the sample without rotating the windows, thereby minimizing sample disturbance. It is compatible with standard spectrometer sample compartments via a 3” by 2” slide mount.
