Atmos | Heatable long pathlength gas cells

The Atmos™ series comprises long pathlength gas cells designed for infrared spectroscopy of trace gases and vapors. The cells feature fixed pathlengths of 2.5, 5.0, 10.0, and 20.0 meters, providing wide versatility for different analytical requirements. Each cell is individually optimized to maximize optical throughput and signal-to-noise ratio.

Constructed with Ni-coated aluminum bodies for enhanced thermal conductivity and higher pressure tolerance compared to glass, these cells support operation pressures up to 125 psi (80 psi for the 20 m version). The inert stainless-steel mirror substrates with protected gold coating eliminate outgassing by avoiding the use of glues. Cells can be equipped with heating jackets enabling stable operation up to 200 °C, and can include additional monitoring and purge options.

  • Pathlengths available: 2.5 m, 5.0 m, 10.0 m, 20.0 m
  • Pressure rating: vacuum down to 3 × 10⁻³ torr, max 125 psi (8.6 bar), 80 psi (5.44 bar) for 20 m cell
  • Operating temperature up to 200 °C with optional heating jacket
  • Ni-coated aluminum body for improved thermal transfer and robustness
  • Protected gold-coated mirrors on inert stainless-steel substrates
  • Sealing options: Viton or FFKM ‘O’ rings
  • Window materials: CaF₂ or ZnSe
  • Purgeable transfer optics box included
  • Leverlock series baseplate mounting ensures stable installation
  • Optional features: heating jacket, sample thermocouple, vacuum/gas inlet and outlet taps, pressure gauge, desiccant storage caps
  • Low cell volume for rapid gas exchange, optimized optical path for high signal-to-noise
  • Number of passes ranging from 24 to 44 depending on model
  • Volume from 0.27 L (2.5 m cell) up to 3.68 L (20 m cell)
