Pucks for Quest | Single Reflection ATR accessory *

The Quest ATR Pucks system offers interchangeable crystal pucks that allow easy switching between ATR crystals and sampling plate configurations without tools. Each puck is constructed from hardened stainless steel and magnetically attaches to the accessory for rapid, repeatable positioning.

A variety of internal reflection elements (IRE) are available, including Diamond, ZnSe, Germanium (Ge), Silicon (Si), and specialized Arrow™ silicon wafers. Options include flat pucks for solids and powders, and liquid pucks featuring a raised bowl of approximately 100 µL volume to contain low-viscosity or volatile samples. Additionally, a heated puck option supports measurements up to 110 °C, employing a 4-wire RTD sensor and USB-controlled temperature regulation via PC software.

Features and Purposes
  • Material options: Diamond (standard and extended range), ZnSe, Ge, Si, Arrow™ silicon wafer
  • Spectral range coverage: 10000–10 cm-1 (extended diamond) down to 7800–400 cm-1 (standard diamond), with corresponding refractive indices from 2.40 to 4.00
  • Depth of penetration at 1000 cm-1, 45° angle, and sample refractive index 1.5 ranges from 0.7 µm (Ge) to 2.0 µm (Diamond, ZnSe)
  • Heated puck enables temperature-controlled analysis from ambient up to 110 °C for phase change and complex sample studies
  • Flat pucks optimized for solids, powders, and viscous liquids; liquid pucks designed with a containment bowl for low viscosity or evaporative samples (approx. 100 µL volume)
  • Anti-reflective coatings available on diamond crystals for enhanced spectral throughput
  • Heated puck includes USB temperature controller compatible with multiple voltage standards
