Harrick ConcentratIR2™ Multiple Reflection ATR

The Harrick ConcentratIR2™ is a compact multiple-reflection ATR accessory designed for FTIR spectrometers with smaller sample compartments. It accommodates micro-liquid samples and incorporates interchangeable diamond and silicon ATR sampling plates.

Each configuration features a thin disk of silicon or diamond optically contacted to a specialized ZnSe optic. The silicon ATR operates with eleven internal reflections at a nominal incidence angle of 30°, providing spectral coverage from 4000 cm-1 to 650 cm-1. The diamond ATR offers ten internal reflections with a 45° angle of incidence, covering approximately 4000 cm-1 to 550 cm-1. Note that diamond lattice bands impact the signal-to-noise ratio near 2000 cm-1. The device allows optical adjustments to optimize performance and throughput, and is fully enclosed to enable rapid sample exchange with minimal purge interruption.
