The Golden Gate® is a high-performance single-reflection monolithic diamond ATR sampling accessory designed for robust and demanding ATR applications. It features a diamond crystal brazed into a tungsten carbide mount, delivering exceptional physical durability and chemical resistance suitable for abrasive, hard, reactive, or corrosive samples.
The sampling interface includes a stainless-steel top-plate integrating the diamond crystal with a load bridge capable of applying up to 80 lbs force for optimal contact with solid samples. Various top-plate assemblies allow in-situ spectroscopic analysis under sub-zero and elevated temperatures up to 300 °C. A sapphire anvil self-levels to accommodate irregular solids, with options for polymer beads, wires, and textile fibers. The accessory also employs focusing optics, primarily ZnSe lenses, with optional KRS-5 lenses for extended low wavenumber spectral range access.
