Starna Fluorescence Reference Plates

Starna 96-Well Fluorescence Reference Plates are designed for the routine qualification of fluorescence-based plate readers, ensuring accurate fluorescence intensity measurements and well-to-well reproducibility. These microplates contain stable inorganic fluorescent reference materials and conform to international standards for biomedical screening.

Available in both top- and bottom-reading configurations, the plates incorporate multiple fluorophores with distinct peak excitation and emission wavelengths. The solid-state nature of the references prevents solvent evaporation and photobleaching, providing consistent calibration over time. Plates are offered in 96-well format, with a 384-well option also available.

Features and Purposes
  • Contain inorganic fluorophores stable against photodecomposition and bleaching
  • Available for both top and bottom reading configurations
  • Plate dimensions comply with international biomedical screening standards
  • Multiple fluorophores included with specific excitation/emission wavelengths: Violet (PE 335 nm/Em 395 nm), Blue (PE 325 nm/Em 455 nm), Green (PE 280 nm/Em 530 nm), Red (PE 280 nm/Em 525-705 nm), Infrared (PE 440 nm/Em 702 nm)
  • Typical fluorescence intensity coefficient of variation for all wells guaranteed not to exceed 5%
  • Solid state format eliminates issues with solvent evaporation and degradation
  • Calibration certificate provided with normalized emission spectra and relative well intensities
