The Specac Minidiff Plus accessory for diffuse reflectance enables cost-effective, high-quality DRIFTS (Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy) analysis on a wide range of powders and solid samples. Typically, a small amount of sample is ground together with KBr powder for analysis. Applications include the characterization of polymers, catalysts, films, fibers, powdered chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

The pre-aligned optics ensure maximum optical efficiency and ease of use. Sampling versatility is maintained through the use of sample cups for powders or particulates, and Diabrase abrasive pads for sampling non-particulate solid materials. The sample holder platform can be easily removed and reinstalled in the accessory, and positioned with an adjustment micrometer without the need to realign the optical components.

This accessory mounts on the Specac Benchmark-type base system. It is supplied as standard with sample cups, abrasive sample holders, Diabrase abrasive pads, KBr powder, and a mortar and pestle.
